Cavill said that the image of Geralt in the new season is more in line with the book
Henry Cavill revealed how Geralt will change in the second season of The Witcher. He spoke about this in an interview with Total Film.
“I really wanted the image of Geralt this season to be more in line with the way he is presented in the book, as well as for him to speak more.
I insisted on this. However, I would not say that he becomes a merry fellow. He is still the Geralt of Rivia, except that now he comes across as a more intellectually developed guy.
He has a hard life, he hunts monsters. I can’t recommend this to anyone, ”the actor explained.
The Witcher series is based on the novels of the Polish science fiction writer Andrzej Sapkowski, many of which were published in the late 1990s.
The popular video game series that launched in 2007 was based on the same books.
The first season of The Witcher premiered in December 2019 on Netflix.
Work on the second part began in February 2020, filming was suspended in March due to the coronavirus pandemic, and production resumed in August. In September, the streaming giant announced the third season of the project.
The sequel to The Witcher series will be released on December 17th.
